The yaw brake pistons supplied by our company are made of No. 45 steel, which has undergone tempering and quenching treatment. The surface undergoes high-frequency hardening to a thickness of 1–2 mm, achieving a hardness of HRC 45–50. The surface is coated with a nickel-phosphorus alloy for corrosion resistance, resulting in a surface hardness of Hv 750–800. The pistons are subjected to 100% ultrasonic testing according to the requirements of EN/0228-3:1998 for the evaluation of defects, and they have passed the Level 2 acceptance criteria for ultrasonic inspection.
