Service Case for Wind Farm Unit Hydraulic and Water-Cooling System Maintenance Projects
The Huitengxile wind farm project was launched in 1996. As of 2021, it has installed a total of 94 wind turbine units, boasting a wind power density of 662 watts per square meter and an average annual effective wind duration of 6,255 hours. In December 2007, CSSC Heavy Industry, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, installed the first domestically produced 2 MW wind turbine at the Huitengxile Wind Farm, setting new national records at the time for single-unit capacity, rotor diameter, and tower height. In 2023, hydraulic system defects—including low pressure, operational imbalance, abnormal operating temperatures, and unusual internal noises—were reported in the hydraulic stations of 21 wind turbines (model HZ2.OMW2.OMW) at the Huitengxile Wind Farm. The Huitengxile Wind Farm is located within Chahar Right Middle Banner, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia. Its elevation ranges from 2,000 to 1,031 meters above sea level, and the region experiences winter temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius.
In August of that year, Kaihua Energy signed a technical agreement with the Huitengxile Wind Farm to provide maintenance services for the hydraulic and water-cooling systems of the project’s 21 wind turbine units. As of now, the hydraulic systems and water-cooling circulation systems of the HZ 2.0 MW units that have been serviced are still operating normally without any reported malfunctions.
